As Leawood prepares to welcome the world for the FIFA World Cup 2026™, the City of Leawood is proud to support our locally owned businesses through a new opportunity: Leawood For the Goal! Business Readiness Grants.
This program is designed to help Leawood businesses prepare for increased regional visitors by supporting improvements that enhance accessibility, customer flow, operational capacity, and overall visitor experience.

• Grants of up to $10,000 per business
• Available to locally owned businesses located within the City of Leawood
• Must have a current Leawood Business License
Eligible improvements may include:
• ADA and safety upgrades
• Layout or seating changes
• Equipment that improves efficiency or capacity
• Digital presence updates and refreshed signage
• Enhancements that support multi-language visitors and inclusive access
