MENORAH MEDICAL CENTER NAMES VALERIE NEWMAN CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Experienced HCA Healthcare leader brings a track record of operational excellence, service line growth and access expansion.

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — (June 16, 2026) — Menorah Medical Center has named Valerie Newman chief operating officer. Newman brings extensive leadership experience within HCA Healthcare and a proven record of advancing operational performance, expanding access to care and supporting strategic growth initiatives. Menorah Medical Center is part of HCA Midwest Health, Kansas City’s leading healthcare provider.

Newman joins Menorah Medical Center from St. David’s Georgetown Hospital in Georgetown, Texas, where she served as chief operating officer. During her tenure, she provided executive leadership across a broad portfolio of services, helping drive operational performance through service line expansion, throughput optimization and strategic resource management. She also played a key role in expanding cardiovascular, oncology and surgical services to improve access to care for patients and communities served by the hospital.

Newman began her career with HCA Healthcare as an administrative resident in the HCA Florida Division. She later served as vice president of operations at Medical City Weatherford Hospital in Texas before being named chief operating officer at St. David’s Georgetown Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare’s Central West Texas Division.

Throughout her career, Newman has led initiatives focused on operational excellence, quality improvement, capacity expansion and large-scale facility projects. Her experience includes launching and growing key service lines, improving operational and quality metrics, and overseeing construction and readiness efforts designed to support long-term community healthcare needs.

Newman earned a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration from the University of Central Florida and a master’s degree in healthcare administration from the University of Florida. She also completed HCA Healthcare’s Executive Residency and Executive Development programs and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
