The Ranch Mart Summer Extravaganza is back and bigger than ever! On Saturday, June 14, families and community members are invited to experience a full day of excitement across both sides of 95th Street at the beloved Leawood shopping center, Ranch Mart.

Now in its fifth year since its revival, this annual celebration brings free, family-friendly fun to the heart of Leawood—with this year’s theme dedicated to comic books and creativity.

The event features the iconic Ranch Mart Express, transporting attendees between the two shopping centers throughout the day. Kids can enjoy inflatables, carnival-style games, hands-on activities, and more—all while exploring participating merchants along the way.

This year’s standout attraction: Elite Comics will be on-site helping young artists create their own comic books. For kids ages 8 and under, a comic-themed coloring contest will be offered, with an exciting grand prize—a party for 15 at Dozer, Ranch Mart’s newest tenant and a concept tailor-made for young adventurers.

Other can’t-miss activities include a DIY “make your own cape and mask” station, face painting, balloon artistry, a magician, and roving superheroes bringing the theme to life throughout the day. And yes, even the cotton candy is free (food and drinks are the only cost to attendees).

The fun continues into the evening in The Yard, the outdoor space behind Billie’s, which will transform into a lively Beer Garden featuring live music and a DJ.

At 5pm, the stage will be set for the headlining concert with Platinum Legends of Rock, who hit the stage at 6 p.m. performing classic anthems everyone can sing along to. This concert is the kickoff to a four-part series happening at The Yard this year—made possible thanks to generous support from Delta Roofing, Paradise Asphalt, CAMM Construction, and Select One Security.
