MENORAH MEDICAL CENTER NAMES JOSEPH F. SERENO, MHA, CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

A seasoned healthcare executive, Sereno has over 20 years of robust experience in healthcare finance and accounting.
OVERLAND PARK, KAN. — (May 6, 2025) — Today,Menorah Medical Center announced that Joseph F. Sereno, MHA, has been appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Menorah Medical Center is part of HCA Midwest Health, Kansas City’s largest healthcare provider.
Sereno brings over 20 years of extensive experience in healthcare finance and accounting. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Finance/CFO at Santa Rosa Medical Center in San Antonio. In this role, he provided strategic leadership and guidance across multiple key functions, including accounting, business office, health information management, patient access, case management, and HOPD physician clinics. Sereno ensured alignment and operational excellence across the orthopedic, bariatric, and spinal clinics. Additionally, he directed financial analysis efforts along with the preparation of both the annual budget and proforma capital expenditure for the hospital. He led the charge of business process, policy, and procedural improvements to achieve long-term revenue growth.

A United States veteran, Sereno did three tours of duty in Iraq and is the recipient of three Bronze Stars for meritorious service and leadership.
Sereno earned a Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) from Trinity University in San Antonio and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Columbia College in Syracuse, New York.
