ComfortCare Homes of Kansas City
ComfortCare Homes pioneered dementia care in a real home in 1993. Their Home Plus model provides assisted living and memory care homes in real homes in established neighborhoods, not facilities made to “feel” like a home. This gives families the option of their loved one being cared for in a familiar environment, reminiscent of the homes they would have lived in while raising their own families.
With a true 6 to 1 resident-to-caregiver ratio, their approach provides individualized care driven by each resident’s unique needs. Each one of their houses carries no more than 8 residents and with such an intimate group, the caregivers genuinely get to know the residents and communicate with them like they would their good friends. This helps the residents maintain their sense of independence, self-esteem and pride.
ComfortCare Homes of Kansas City is co-owned and operated by Linda Dugan, who comes with over 25+ years in the healthcare industry and Jeff Woods, the general manager.
