The Chamber hosted our quarterly Member Connections Workshop today, and as we went around the room learning more about each of our new member businesses and current member new employees, I was happy to hear a consistent theme.
While they all wanted to make new connections for their business, they all want to help others succeed as well. We’re definitely moving away from the “me” generation to a business environment where “a rising tide raises all ships”.
The next time you meet with a prospect, don’t just write them off if it turns out they might not be a fit for the goods or services you provide.
Each one of us has a vast network of friends, family and acquaintances that have different skills and needs. Take the time to build rapport and trust with a that person and learn how you can help them.
I am confident that the next time they encounter someone that can use your product or service, they’ll send that person your way.
