The Chamber will present Leawood's delegation with our 2010 Legislative Priorities, and then each elected official will give a short presentation on what they feel will be the hot issues in Topeka this session.

Menorah Medical Center announces a unique partnership with Park Place, the upscale mixed-use community at 119th and Nall in Leawood. Menorah will be the exclusive healthcare provider/hospital sponsor of Park Place in 2010.
Menorah will conduct various free on-site health screenings and assessments throughout the year including blood pressure, waist-to-hip ratio, body mass index/body fat calculation and consultation with health experts. In addition, Menorah will sponsor ambulance tours and the IdentiKid program at Park Place.

SAFEHOME, Johnson County’s only domestic violence agency, and Bob Allen Ford have teamed up this holiday season to help children affected by domestic violence. From December 1 - December 24, Bob Allen Ford will donate a percentage of profits from car sales to SAFEHOME.
The money will be used to support SAFEHOME’s Children’s Program which provides a safe and therapeutic environment where children can heal from the violence they have experienced. This early intervention is critical in breaking the generational cycle of domestic violence.

Heartland Habitat for Humanity
Heartland Habitat for Humanity serves Johnson, Wyandotte, and Leavenworth counties in Kansas and Platte and Clay counties in Missouri.
Habitat for Humanity's Mission:
* To eliminate poverty and substandard housing worldwide
* To build or renovate houses in partnership with families who qualify for homeownership based on three criteria: need, a willingness to partner with HFH and an ability to repay a no-interest mortgage
* To work with people of all faiths and people of no faith
* To sell our houses at no profit, with no interest charged
Habitat invites you to help them build, assist in the office, serve on committees and help with special projects that benefit the organization.
