In the 2011 Johnson County Community Survey, 87% of respondents rated Johnson County as either excellent or good as a place to work, which is 29% above the United States average. Leawood’s growing number of residents offers the kind of high-income customer base that businesses desire. With a population that has grown to over 32,000, and an average gross annual income of $159,525, more and more businesses are choosing to locate in Leawood.
For lunch breaks and after-hours enjoyment, over 50 area restaurants offer a multitude of food choices in a variety of dining environments, certain to fit any appetite or budget. Situated on the Missouri-Kansas state line, Leawood offers a wide array of retail shopping opportunities.
